LIGHT INSTALLATIONS

"VALGUSKODA"

AIVI KUKK & TRIIN TABERLAND

At the heart of this installation is the *püstkoda* (tepee/tent) as a material object. Its antithesis is a primal memory – an intangible element stored within us, spreading through the space like smoke. This combination does not lead to annihilation, but creates a new quality.

Light is born.

We invite you to step into this space and pause for a moment to immerse yourself in René Eespere’s musical work "Kodalased" (Dwellers of the Lavvu). In this context, there is a significant linguistic connection: the etymological root of the Estonian word "kodu" (home) derives precisely from the word "koda" (lavvu), thus pointing to a spatial and emotional unity.
