Ran Ancor : Vibreerivad väljad

Ran Ancor (IT/DE) presents a minimal and contemplative live set built around samplers, granular synthesis, loopers, and layered effects, accompanied by projected images generated through photonic modulators. Suspended sounds and slowly shifting textures are meant to be listened to in the same way one looks at light: sparse gestures unfolding without ever fully resolving, favouring duration over narrative. A soundscape for a visual world of pure light.

Ancor Ran is a Berlin-based Italian media artist dedicated to the exploration of light and video experiments. They studied epistemology with a minor in computer science, and subsequently began working at the intersection of art and informatics. They are active in the fields of electronic AV live sets, light installations, and wearable technology performances. The most important elements of their work are immateriality, movement and metamorphosis, a visual focus, and the fusion with sound and space. In 2001, they founded the company eXtraLight Advanced Visuals, focusing on light as a substance through its expressions in the form of light performances, visuals, and installations.
