How can the inseparable connection between light and shadow be expressed? Does shadow possess light, or does light possess shadow? Which intensity blinds more? Instead of a traditional approach that defines light solely as a revealing force, this exhibition focuses on the coexistence of visibility and invisibility, shaping perception, memory, and emotional experience.

The exhibition spaces transform into an atmospheric whole where light becomes a material—it diffuses, reflects, fragments, and breaks. Shadows do not appear here as secondary phenomena, but as active agents that expand, distort, and react to the viewer's presence. The movement of visitors within the space integrates them into the works, dynamically altering the balance point between light and shadow.

The exhibition brings together Finnish artists working at the intersection of art, technology, and spatial practices, showcasing the distinct approaches of the local light art scene. The exhibited works range from meditative installations to complex interactive environments, born from interdisciplinary experimentation.

"The Light of Shadow" invites the audience to re-evaluate the role of light, treating it not merely as a creator of clarity, but as a medium that opens up a poetic and critical space through concealment. In this space, perception is unstable, and meaning emerges in the constant shift between the visible and the hidden.
