LIGHT ART SCRAP HACK 20.20.2026
Goal:
- A new life for production waste, new light for your ideas!
- 4-tunnine intensiivne loovlabor, kus kohtuvad 6 valguskunstnikku, hunnik
unikaalseid valgusinstallatsioonide tootmisjääke ja osalejate lennukas
fantaasia.
- Ruumis on 6 spetsialiseeritud häkkimispesa. Osalejad ringlevad laudade
vahel, koguvad mentoritelt nippe, kombineerivad materjale ning ehitavad valmis oma valgusobjekti, mis tuleb esitamisele TAVA26 raames Tartu botaanikaaias.

SCHEDULE
WORKSHOP SCHEDULE AND PARTICIPATION
The workshop takes place on 20.10.2026 from 16:00 to 20:00.
━ START: Welcome, safety briefing, and a quick introduction of stations/artists / 15 min.
━ HACK I SPRINT (Experimentation): Participants choose their initial stations. Material sorting, experimentation, flashes of ideas, and first technical solutions / 75 min.
━ COOL-DOWN (Light Break): Coffee/tea. Participants move around and peek at what "hackers" at neighboring tables came up with / 20 min.
━ HACK II SPRINT (Finalizing): Locking down structures, refining details, and making objects functional before the deadline / 85 min.
━ IGNITION (Pop-up exhibition): Lights off! All completed works are powered on simultaneously. Short presentations by the authors in the dark / 30 min.
━ FINISH (Recognition): Highlighting the best hacks, team acknowledgements, and official closing of the event / 15 min.
