HOW TO ARRIVE?
Plane
Bus
There are regular buses between Tallinn Airport and Tallinn Bus Station and Tartu. Tartu also has excellent bus connections to all major Estonian cities. Tartu Bus Station is located in the city center and within walking distance of most hotels.
Train
Tartu Railway Station is located in a historic station building 1.5 km from the city center and daily train traffic runs from the Estonian cities of Tallinn, Valga and Koidula. With a change in Tapa or Aegviidu, it is possible to travel here, for example, from Narva and Jõhvi, and from Riga via Valga and Valka.
Car
Tartu, the second largest city in Estonia, is the largest center of South Estonia and also a junction of important national roads. The Tallinn–Tartu–Luhamaa highway (E263), the Jõhvi–Tartu–Valga highway, the Piibe highway pass through Tartu, and the Viljandi and Räpina highways and other connecting roads to nearby cities and settlements also reach here. The road from Tartu to Tallinn is 186 km, to Pärnu 170 km and to Narva 182 km, the journey takes less than 2.5 hours.
