LIGHT INSTALLATIONS

MAJAHALDJAS

Rasmus Puksmann

The light installation "House Spirit" is a temporary space created in a grove of trees that acts as a beacon, inviting the viewer to come closer, to search, and to discover. The work offers an opportunity to experience the alternation of light and darkness while becoming conscious of the presence of space or its dissipation.

The piece can be experienced from both the outside and the inside. Creating a new space within a natural environment alters the surrounding landscape, but stepping inside also changes the perception of the space itself. Inside the installation, a photographic work is exhibited, which uses the materials and textures depicted on slides to continuously recreate spatial significance.
