LUCI AGM /
TAVA2021 CONFERENCE

General information

The City of Tartu is host to the LUCI Annual General Meeting (AGM), the international forum for cities on urban lighting. The LUCI AGM brings together the members of LUCI and the international lighting community for plenary conferences, working group meetings, and open conference sessions on new lighting trends and projects. It is also the opportunity to discover Tartu’s lighting initiatives and policies along with the experience of the TAVA light festival.

The LUCI AGM Tartu is planned as a hybrid event, where each attendee can choose to attend in-person for sessions, onsite visits and convivial social events in Tartu, or to attend online to view all conference sessions from anywhere in the world.

The TAVA2021 conference will take the form of parallel tracks during the LUCI AGM. These sessions aim to enhance knowledge exchange between professionals of different fields and industries. They aim at educating participants by combining renowned speakers with newcomers of different backgrounds whose work and/or academic research is connected to light, perception, public space in any of these fields.

Parallel to the TAVA2021 tracks, there will be a Lightfair, with an exhibition of Estonian light artists and lighting designers; companies currently important for the lighting market will be introduced. This gives the various parties an additional opportunity to strengthen their ties. All the conference participants are welcome to attend TAVA2021 City Space program, Indoor Exhibitions and concerts.
