Pixel Mapping Workshop

Introduction

The workshop is designated for everyone who wants to control and/or build something from LED elements (small colourful and/or blinking lights) but does not know where to start or how to continue.

Aleksander will speak about programs and logics that he uses or has been using in pixel mapping, about necessary equipment and different LED strip types and connections. He will talk about MadMapper and VDMX5 software, as well as about using WS2811 and WS2812B type LEDs and controlling them via Art-Net.

During the workshop, an installation from garage cube LED modules will be built together, which can be seen later by all the guests of TAVA2021. garage cube’i LED-moodulitest installatsioon, mida saavad näha hiljem kõik TAVA2021 külalised.

Terms and Conditions

We aim to have participants with different backgrounds; they can be students and/or professionals. Every participant should bring a Laptop (Mac OSX or PC).

COVID-19

We guarantee full refund of participation fee to all participants whose plans to come to Estonia from abroad are impeded by travel restrictions.

Fee

Workshop fee for students (Student ID required): 150€
Workshop fee for professionals: 200€
VAT will not be added for countries in EU.

Fee includes also participation for the LUCI AGM and TAVA2021 Conference (27-30.10.2021) and Lightfair (29.-30.10.2021)

If you are short of money, we also offer the opportunity to pay with volunteer work for the benefit of the festival.

Accommodation must be found by the participant, all registered receiving a promotional code to be used by our accommodation partners .
